Hi Ivy Families, Thank you for your continued support and partnership during this unique ending to our school year. We are in this together and are working to give our Eagles the best end of the year possible! Beyond daily lesson planning, our staff has been diligently creating virtual experiences to replicate some of those special learning opportunities that happen during the end of the year. We realize you can’t replicate in-person experiences, but I wanted to take a minute to highlight all the behind the scenes planning that has been occurring. Our 4th graders were supposed to go on their annual field trip to the Art Institute of Chicago last week. Since they couldn’t go in person, Mrs. Lim created a virtual tour for our students to experience this wonderful museum. Our 5th graders typically go to Camp Edwards this upcoming week, so our amazing 5th-grade team created Outdoor Ed experiences for our fifth graders and their families to experience at the end of the week. Our 3rd graders always head downtown to learn more about Chicago and the city's fantastic architecture on the Wendella Boat Tours. Third graders will be exploring the city virtually through a fun-filled experience!! For the whole school, we are also working to create a Reverse Parade (see below), Field Day Experiences, along with our annual “Fly-Up”, which is an opportunity for our students to meet next year’s teachers. Keep on the lookout for specific dates and times! Have a wonderful week! Scott Opportunity to say "Good-Bye" to 19-20 School YearMore information to come!
