Hi Ivy Families! It was so fun for me to return to Ivy after my experience in Japan and see so many smiling faces that were super inquisitive about my trip. It was fun sharing my experiences and seeing their reactions! I hope you were able to follow along with me as I posted images on Twitter. If you haven’t had a chance, I encourage you to do so! I also look forward to sharing more over the next couple of weeks! Have a wonderful weekend! Be Courageous, Be Kind Scott Kids Heart ChallengeThank you so very much for your support of the Kids Heart Challenge this year in support of the American Heart Association. Your generosity is doing incredible things such as: funding research grants to find new medicines and procedures, training people to perform life-saving CPR, placing AEDs in the communities, creating strict guidelines on cardiovascular care at local hospitals and ensuring your local grocery stores have healthy food options at an affordable price. Ivy Hill has officially wrapped up the Kids Heart Challenge. Please note that while the website to donate is open year-round we have closed the window to earn thank you gifts. Our students learned how nutrition and physical activity can help them live longer, healthier lives. We also promoted community service by teaching kids how to help others and had a fun dance unit in PE to celebrate! On behalf of everyone here at our school and the American Heart Association, we are incredibly grateful for your generosity. If you want to learn more about the American Heart Association visit heart.org. ABC25It's time to grab your running shoes!! Hi Ivy Families, What a wacky week of weather! Even though we had three “snow days”, we still had an amazing PTA Fun Fair party on Friday!! Thanks to all the Ivy Staff, Parents and Family Members who volunteered their time and energy. This event would not have been possible without all of your support! Thanks for making this such a memorable evening for all our Ivy Eagles! I would like to share that I will be out of the office from Wednesday, Feb 6th - Friday Feb 15th. I will be traveling to Japan with other representatives from AHSD25 to experience local schools and live with a host family. I can’t wait to share my experiences and the Japanese Culture with all of you! If you need anything in my absence, please to do not hesitate to contact the school office or Ivy Hill’s Assistant Principal, Mrs. Natalie Jimenez ([email protected]).
