I am super excited to be part of the amazing learning community at Ivy Hill School. The parents, students and teachers are always extremely welcoming and I can’t wait to get to know all our new Ivy Hill Eagles.
After growing up in Elmhurst, I headed off to Indiana University where I double majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Upon graduation, I returned home and pursued my Elementary Teaching Certification from Elmhurst College. I continued on to a teaching career at Emerson Elementary School as a 5th and 6th grade teacher for ten years. While teaching, I received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction along with my Administrative Certificate from North Central College. I truly enjoyed every moment of teaching, especially seeing the students grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Realizing I wanted to have a greater impact on students, I decided to pursue an administrative opportunity. I became principal at Spring Hills Elementary School. For five years I had the pleasure of working with an amazing team of teachers, parents and students.
I'm excited to be heading into my 6th year as the principal of Ivy Hill Elementary School. I am absolutely thrilled to be a member of such an outstanding school, district and community.
