Good Morning Ivy Families!
What a great year! I want to thank everyone for making the 2015-16 school year a memorable one. The motto for our 50th Celebration, “Celebrating our past and inspiring our future” is the perfect summary of our school year. Throughout this year our teachers and students celebrated their achievements, friendships, and service to others. We definitely had a ton of fun and are already looking forward to next year! At our end of the year assembly we wished all our friends who were moving the best of luck and a hope to hear from them soon! We additionally sent our well wishes to the Ivy Staff that will be moving on to their next adventures. Ms. Meghan Moser (Speech Language Pathologist) will be taking her skills and experience to South Middle School as she’s excited to work with our middle school students. Mrs. Kaitlin Fajks (Tech Facilitator) will be heading to Thomas Middle School as one of the new creative arts teachers. Mrs. Nancy Arias (1st grade teacher) and Michele Mcllrath (Teaching Assistant) are retiring. I’d like to thank all of them for their many years of service and positive impact on our students, staff and parent community. All these staff members have made such a difference to the school and we all wish them the best! District 25 will be marching in the Arlington Heights 4th of July parade. The theme this year will be "Celebrating National Parks." All staff, students, and parents walking in the parade will be receiving a park ranger hat to go with the theme. We are looking for an Ivy Hill family who would like to represent our school in the parade. If you are interested in participating, please email me at [email protected]. As we head into the summer months I wanted to share some helpful reminders.
Scott Good Morning Ivy Hill Families! I hope your children have recovered from a spectacular Field Day on Friday!
