Hi Ivy Families, With the board deciding on moving forward with school and not taking an adaptive pause, we truly need your help and support to keep everyone safe. I have been extremely proud of the entire Ivy Staff as they continue to show up and put the students first during these unique times. They put forth their best effort every single day. More than ever, please continue to find every opportunity to thank every teacher your child sees and show your appreciation for what they are doing this school year. It has truly been remarkable! A quick email or note will go a long way in the coming weeks as we head into the holiday break. In order to maintain the necessary level of safety at Ivy, we need your cooperation in keeping your children home if anyone in the household is experiencing symptoms. I realize you want your children in school, as we all do, but now is not the time to put other children, staff, and their families at risk as Covid cases continue to rise. I encourage you to consider the social implications individual choices have on the entire Ivy Community. When you choose to keep your child home due to symptoms, it positively impacts the greater good. I thank you in advance for thinking of our entire Ivy Community and helping keep everyone safe and healthy. Please continue to follow the CDC and IDPH guidelines when it comes to gatherings outside of school. Those choices outside of school have a direct impact on our classroom environment. Remind your child of the importance of following the 3 W’s (Watch your Distance, Wear your Mask, Wash your hands). If we notice your child is having trouble with following these guidelines, we will reach out to you directly. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. Be Safe, Scott Health InformationPlease continue to monitor your family's health by self-certifying daily. If anyone in your family is experiencing symptoms or awaiting a COVID test, please notify us immediately. Your honest and timely communication is the only way for us to truly monitor and keep everyone informed. Thank you for your continued and collaborative support, Hybrid Learning Plan starting Dec. 8thStarting on Tuesday, December 8th, we have been able to accommodate everyone EXCEPT the students in the below classes for 4-Day HYBRID Learning (Tuesday-Friday). Monday will still be a Remote Day for all students regardless of their learning plan.
Students in these classes below will remain in the current Hybrid Model of 2-Days (T/R and W/F). We’ll continue to monitor the listed classrooms and invite additional students for 4-Days in-person when space permits. 1. Rodriguez (AM-Kindergarten) 2. Black (4th grade) 3. Christus (5th grade) However, if your individual child has a Resource IEP in one of the above classrooms, your child will be eligible for return to 4-Day in-person instruction. We have already reached out to those families. Additional Changes due to an abundance of caution:
