Thanks to everyone who showed up to celebrate our 50th Anniversary! It was so special so see our current and former students and teachers “celebrating our past and inspiring our future”. Online Registration for 2016-2017 begins Monday, May 2nd!! It’s time to register for the upcoming school year! Our registration process consists of completing information online and providing proof of residency. This is required each year and you must provide 3 proofs. The list of required documents can be found online during the registration process. If you have an incoming Kindergartener and have already submitted proof of residency, this will suffice for any children currently at Ivy. You will receive an email from a company called InfoSnap and it will contain a specific code for your child. The InfoSnap information and proof of residency are due June 1st . If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office at (847) 398-4275. ABC25 Raffle The due date has been extended until Monday to have a chance to win! Remember, all you need to do is fill in your tickets by circling the prize number you want. Then cut out your ticket(s) and return them in an envelope marked “Ivy Hill Drawing” with a payment by Monday, May 2nd. Dinning for Dollars! Do you have a busy evening on Monday? Make life a little easier by stopping at Chipotle in Northpoint Plaza for dinner! OnMay 2, between 4:00 and 8:00 pm, 50% of the proceeds from your order will go to Ivy Hill PTA! Present a flyer at checkout and they will take care of the rest! A flyer is on the opposite side of this week’s PTA Happenings. You can also show the flyer on your phone!! Thanks PTA for organizing such a fun Earth Week! I appreciate everyone joining the “Walking School Bus” on Friday, even if the weather wasn’t the greatest. Thanks again to everyone for having your child wear their green shirts to school this past week as the “50th” picture is amazing! I can’t wait for everyone to see it on Friday!! This upcoming week is another action packed one! On Tuesday, April 26th from 6:30-7:30pm, we will be hosting “Taste of Kindergarten” for our incoming kindergarteners. This is the first of many opportunities for us to welcome our new Eagles and their families to Ivy Hill!! Don’t forgot, this Friday, April 29th from 4:30-7:30pm, we will be celebrating Ivy Hill’s 50th Anniversary! Come to Ivy and visit with current and former students, teachers, and administrators. Don’t miss out on all the fun things planned! PTA News Everyone should have received their ABC25 drawing sheets. The 16 choices are fun and exciting for all our kids! A couple quick reminders that PARCC Testing will continue next week for our 3rd-5th graders. Additionally, the 3rd grade Musical Performance is on Wednesday. Doors open at 9:30. Earth Week In celebration of Earth Day (April 22), the Iv Hill PTA’s Environmental Awareness Committee is sponsoring a week of activities designed to raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage families to reduce, reuse and recycle! An overview of our 2016 Earth Week Activities are attached below. ABC 25 Drawing Take a look at these 16 amazing prizes attached below and consider participating in the ABC25 drawing. Information and tickets were sent home on Friday. Remember, All you need to do is fill in the ticket by circling the prize number you want. Walk to School Day On Friday April 22nd, we will be doing another Walking School Bus Day. There will be 6 different starting points each with their own starting times to ensure students are arriving to school at 8:50 or later. I hope you all had an enjoyable Spring Break! It was great to see all the smiling faces entering the building and hearing about all the fun students had with their family and friends. With us entering the month of April, the end of the school year is in sight. We have so many things to experience and enjoy! I’m really looking forward to a fun-filled trimester! Go Eagles! Art Show Next week we will be hosting Ivy Hill's first ever K-2 Art Show! We are excited to dedicate the night of Thursday, April 7th to celebrate our K-2 artists. On this night from 6-8pm all K-2 students will have their artwork framed and on display. You will also see 4th grade Art and Tech Club volunteers sharing their expertise on fusing art with technology!
