Weekend News
I wanted to start this week’s reminders with incredible news about our HSPMD (Help Save People with Medical Disabilities) fundraiser. Ivy Hill was able to raise $1,400 for the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital! We are so proud of our students who created this fundraiser, as well as our school community who rallied behind them and supported their efforts. If you would like to read more about this extraordinary project, please see the article below from the Chicago Tribune. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/arlington-heights/news/ct-ahp-ivy-hill-social-activists-tl-0303-20160301-story.html We have some great events coming up next week! On Wednesday, March 9th the district will be hosting "Teachnology" at Thomas Middle School. This event is free for all families and we have many Ivy Hill students presenting. Please see the attached flyer for more information. We also have the PTA movie night for K-2 students on Friday, March 11th. We are looking forward to pajamas, popcorn, and friends! Prior to spring break we will be holding our parent teacher conferences on March 17th and 18th. Please contact your child’s teacher if you still need to schedule your conference or if you have a scheduling conflict. Additionally, all district art teachers will be attending a conference during parent teacher conferences and will not be available to meet with parents. Please see the attached informational letter regarding this. Have a great weekend and looking forward to the upcoming week! - Scott Comments are closed.
