Hi Ivy Hill Eagle Families! I hope you are enjoying the weekend! Please take a moment to check out all the great happenings by clicking on the links below. http://ivyhillprincipal.weebly.com/tweets-around-ivy-hill.html http://ivyhillpta.org/ Please read the message below from Officer Veenstra regarding traffic safety. Thanks! Dear Parents, On behalf of the Arlington Heights Police Department and District 25 Schools here are a couple of safety reminders that will keep traffic moving efficiently and more importantly keep our kids safe. I have been out to several schools in September and observed a few traffic safety issues.
I hope every parent will take a moment to reflect on what we all can do to keep our kids safe. Thanks for your cooperation! Officer Veenstra School Resource Officer Arlington Heights Police Department Good Evening Everyone! I hope the weekend has been enjoyable!

Another great week of learning at Ivy! Check out the "tweets" that captured all those moments using the link below. http://ivyhillprincipal.weebly.com/tweets-around-ivy-hill.html Thanks to the PTA for organizing the Fire Safety Trailer and our Running Club this past week. Both were a huge success! Visit the link below to find out more great happenings. http://ivyhillpta.org The construction fences have been put up around the school and we are excited to have the expansion begin! Students will still have recess on nice days as we will have two separate play spaces with one being for primary and the other intermediate grades. Finally, I'd like to share a couple safety reminders: 1. Please cross all intersections using the cross-walks, especially at Burke/Valley and Burke/Ivy. 2. When exiting the circle driveway, it is a "Right Turn Only" 3. During Dismissal, if you are driving to pick-up your child, please remain in your car when waiting in the circle drive and along Burke 4. The playground and the back of the school are no longer available for use 5. If you are waiting to walk home with your children, please stand to the right near the blacktop by the bike rack. This will allow all our walkers a smooth exit as the majority use the main doors. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions. Have a great rest of the weekend! Scott We had another great week at Ivy! One moment I'd like to highlight is this past Friday, September 11th, students learned about the significance of Patriot Day. They worked on various activities that focused on hope and doing good deeds for others. Take a look at our Tweets Around Ivy to see all the thoughtful projects students worked on to commemorate this day.
