Hi Ivy Families, Thanks for another great week! It seems our first snowfall is coming this weekend! I hope you find time to enjoy the snow, family and friends over the weekend! With the travel season upon us, I'd also like to remind families that students who are absent on an extended leave, class work/homework will not be provided prior to their absence. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. See you on Monday! Scott 2018-2019 Kindergarten Pre-Registration2018-2019 Kindergarten Pre-Registration - Open December 14! If you have a kindergartener that plans to attend District 25 for kindergarten next year, get a jump start on the registration process by pre-registering your child. Visit www.sd25.org/KindergartenRegistration to learn more about the process. The first day you can pre-register your child is December 14. Recess and Winter Weather WearAs we look ahead to next week and the weather forecast of snow and colder temperatures, please remind your children to dress warm with coats, gloves and hats. All students will going outside as long as the "Real Feel" temperature is above zero degrees. Students who want to play in the snow must have a coat, boots, gloves and snowpants. For students who wish not to play in the snow or are missing one of the items, they will still go outside and play on the blacktop. Students may not stay inside due to the temperature being cold. Also, please take a moment to read the attached letter from our school nurses regarding the seasonal flu.
Arrival and Pick-Up Procedures about As the temperature becomes colder, we have more families driving to school. To help expedite drop-off in the morning, please be sure to pull all the way to the end of the drop-off zone. Also, for your child’s safety, please make sure they only exit the car curbside and cross at the cross-walks. Please click HERE to find more information about our procedures Ivy Hill Recycle Program“Eagles Save The Earth”... one battery, one crayon, one marker or one pair of eyeglasses at a time!! We are now collecting the following items in our new Recycling Center...batteries, old or broken crayons, used markers and old eyeglasses. The batteries, crayons and markers will be recycled and the glasses will be donated to distribute to people in need in developing countries.
